Disability Support Worker

We are looking for experienced and skilled Disability Support Workers to build strong relationships with participants and be part of a stable team in Silkstone and surrounding areas.

If you have a strong background in working with individuals with dementia, schizophrenia, mental health, and have a compassionate approach, we want to hear from you. Whether you are looking for AM, PM, weekends or sleepovers, we can work around your lifestyle.

Your Role:
As a Support Worker at HelpAlong, you will be providing essential support to participants living in SIL homes, supporting them to live independently while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. You will use your knowledge of mental health to assist participants in overcoming challenges, working collaboratively with their support network to deliver the best outcomes.

Client Support Needs:

• Daily living support, including medication administration and personal care

• Accessing the community and walks around the neighbourhood

• Domestic assistance with cooking, cleaning, and routines

About You

We’re looking for people who bring a mix of experience, skills and understanding to the role. You don’t need to meet every point below to apply:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or similar

• Previous disability support experience

• Current First Aid and CPR

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

• Current driver license and own vehicle

• Looking for regular, consistent rostered shifts

• Able to maintain professional boundaries and follow company protocols

• Confident with documentation, reporting, and following procedures

• Flexible and reliable with availability
