Getting Started with HelpAlong

The HelpAlong intake journey, from first enquiry to review.

Know what to expect from the first conversation to an agreed start date.

  1. Enquiry. Tell us what support you are exploring, where and when.
  2. Intake. With consent, we gather information needed to understand goals, preferences, accessibility, risk and funding.
  3. Suitability and capacity. We confirm whether the request is within registration and whether we have the right workforce and service capacity.
  4. Proposal and agreement. You review the service, schedule, responsibilities, pricing, cancellation terms and communication arrangements.
  5. Matching and transition. We plan workers, handover, required training and a safe start.
  6. Review. We check how support is working and respond to feedback and changing needs.

What you can expect

Clear communication, no obligation at enquiry stage, information in a format you understand and the option to involve an advocate, interpreter or trusted person.

Timeframes vary according to the support, information available, worker matching, risk requirements, funding and current capacity.
