An enquiry should help you understand options without creating an obligation to start services.
The first conversation
Share the support you are looking for, suburb, preferred timing and what matters most. You can ask for an interpreter, advocate or trusted person and a communication method that suits you.
Intake and consent
If the service may be suitable, the provider asks for information needed to assess goals, preferences, accessibility, risk and funding. Consent and secure information sharing should be discussed before sensitive documents are provided.
Suitability and capacity
The provider checks whether the support is within its registration and capability and whether it has suitable workers and capacity. A careful answer may take longer than a simple yes, especially for accommodation, high-intensity or transition support.
The proposal
Before agreeing, review the service, schedule, responsibilities, worker requirements, price, cancellation rules, communication, incidents, complaints and ending terms.
Transition and review
A start plan may include worker introductions, handover, training, equipment and contingency arrangements. After support begins, both sides should review what is working and document agreed changes.
HelpAlong’s exact intake steps depend on the requested service and current capacity. An enquiry or referral is not confirmation of service acceptance.
