ASSISTANCE WITH PERSONAL ACTIVITIES
Assist- Personal Activities includes assistance with daily tasks that let you live as independently as possible at home and in the community. You might be able to obtain the following support types through your NDIS Plan’s Assistance with Daily Life: assistance with routine personal tasks Help with domestic duties.
Assistance with daily personal activities, such as assistance with or supervision of daily personal responsibilities, is referred to as personal care support. For instance:
- Personal hygiene including showering, bathing, grooming and oral hygiene
- Eating and drinking
- Attending appointments
- Toileting, bladder and bowel management and menstrual care
- Mobility and transferring, for example moving and moving out of bed and on or off the toilet
- Use of aids and appliances, communication, and hearing devices.
- Application of splints, basic first aid due to injuries sustained because of a participant’s disability
